BBC Radio 4 Appeal Postponed

On discussion with the BBC Radio 4 Charity appeal team, it has been decided to postpone the scheduled Radio 4 Appeal on Sunday 4th November until a more suitable time. The shared concern is that given the volume of current public anger and disquiet around recent high-profile revelations of abuse, the essential message that Circles of Support and Accountability are about the prevention of further sexual abuse may not be heard as clearly as we want it to be.

The appeal will be broadcast instead in a few months’ time and we sincerely trust that those supporting and concerned for the work of Circles will understand the delay and keep an eye on our website for the new broadcast details.

For those frustrated at having to wait until then to hear Baroness Helena Kennedy QC on the importance and value of Circles in their community safeguarding work, please do not feel you have to wait until the new date before making a donation!

Thank you.
