The two-day Coordinator Forum took place at the Woodbrooke Centre in Birmingham. This was an opportunity for Coordinators to get together with their colleagues from each of the Providers in the Circles family and have the opportunity to network and share ideas. Four Providers gave presentations: Circles East, a National Probation Service Provider, talked about the range of programmes available, past and present for those who cause sexual harm. Circles South East gave an update on the National Open College Network Volunteer award and encouraged other Providers to sign their Volunteers up. Re:shape talked about a Circle they are delivering for Glebe House and Circles South West showed a short film on their work with Young People.
The keynote speaker was Derek Perkins (Professor of Forensic Psychology at West London Mental Health NHS Trust & Royal Holloway University of London), who delivered an insightful lecture on internet based offending; the afternoon was then spent looking at how we might use Circles for this growing group. Woodbrooke was a lovely setting for this event with good food and good company.
