Humbercare Circles is a charity-based organisation working in partnership with many voluntary and not-for-profit organisations, statutory organisations as well as the following local authorities: Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, and North East Lincolnshire.
The Circles journey began at Humbercare in 2012, originally as part of a north of England consortium, and now as an independent provider.
Humbercare, created in 1989, has a wealth of understanding and experience of working with people with convictions in conjunction with partner agencies. Often the Core Members benefit from both the accessing a Circle and the provision of support from one or more of Humbercare other services. These include settled and supported accommodation and access to specialised services.
Circles need committed people from across the Humberside region who are willing to be trained as volunteers. We are looking for people who are emotionally mature, empathic and who are prepared to support the Core Member whilst holding them to account. A volunteer is a strong individual able to maintain firm boundaries and cope emotionally with the subject.
